UHPA has once again submitted testimony supporting legislation that will recognize civil unions within Hawaii. UHPA has bargained non-discriminatory language seeking to ensure that faculty and their families are afforded economic security without reference to sexual orientation. It is time for all citizens to be afforded equal treatment and be able to enjoy committed relationships free from discrimination.
